I've gone through a few tactical shorts from Amazon and didn't like any of them for various reasons. I purchased these but didn't have high hopes. They are quite nice, good material and sturdy stitching. The fit is very good as well. I'm a 32, but usually like to get a 33 or 34 because I like pants/shorts a little bit baggy. These seem to run with lots of room in the seat, but the 32 is pretty accurate as I can wear these without a belt. They do have some elastic to them but not much, I'd say maybe 1-2" at most. I'm 5'9" and weigh about 185lbs, average to narrow sized butt but larger quads.Pockets are super nice. I would have preferred velcro on the top/front pockets though, and would have preferred the smartphone pockets were deeper as my iphone Xs still sticks out. Those are minor gripes though. Another minor gripe is that the grey is really pretty much black. It's not even charcoal grey, it's black. They still look great, but I was hoping for a nice medium grey.I knew they came with pants leg attachments but didn't think much about it, thinking they were just some flimsy after thoughts. I was quite surprised at how functional they are. They zip right on, the zippers are very low profile and have a flap that fit over them so you don't see or feel the zippers when used as shorts AND when used as pants. The knees are double material so feel very sturdy. They are tailored very nicely and feel just like a pair of khakis. Length is 32 which coincidentally was perfect for me. I will definitely use these as pants as well as shorts. Kind of cool to think that I can just fold up the legs and bring them along in case it gets cold.Overall these are a great value for the money and highly recommended. I will definitely be buying more pants in different colors.Bought a pair of these shorts for my boyfriend. Being a Big & Tall guy ( 6'2, 3XL), he's not easy to shop for. These shorts actually come with leg attachments which can zip onto the end of the shorts to turn them from cargo shorts into cargo pants! I thought it was a very fun surprise. My boyfriend loves these shorts for the summer. They're breathable and fit properly. He's a fan of the smaller front pockets for his ID and cards but likes the different pocket options and color choices. They come with an elastic on the sides which allows for room when putting on or when eating. I originally bought the grey pair and had to order a second in green! Wish this came in more colors and patterns, i'd definitely buy more!I'm 6'1, 185lb and the 32 inch waiste fits like a 32. They do have elastic waist but it won't give you an extra inch just allows a little stretch. I didn't realize these were convertible pants. (Bonus) and the 32 inch inseam zip on legs they sent me, fall just on the ankle. Over all I'm happy with this purchase.Alright so these are convertible pants. The belt loops feel like they are just not enough, but the material is light and breaths well.Also I can seductively take off the rest of my pant leg to show the wife my calves. OooOooo.I like them so much I bought a second pair. I like all the pockets, wide belt loops, legs that detach, and theroomie fit.I was very pleased when I received this item.
