I often help with river cleanups in area. Lots of getting into out of kayak often in very silty deep mud. Have had issues keeping water shoes on especially over dry suit. These are not coming off until I unzip them. These do not have that issueOne of my kayaks has very little foot room. Anything other than water shoes and I don't fit in this kayak. These do not have that issueIn the winter heel resting on floor gets cold quickly in some shoes. These do not have that issueSome shoes it's painful to walk on the pointy rocks I encounter on some of the river cleanups. These do not have that issueAfter going through a dozen water shoes and just as many sneakers these are the Goldilocks of kayak footwear for me. I have had lots of shoes that meet some or most of my needs. These do everything well and I see no downside to kayaking with these as my only shoe in every type of kayaking.Obviously they are comfortable on long days and feel fine just walking on trails or pavement. I'm not using them as hiking boots but they had no issues on roots and dirt when I was portaging
